Dawn Love
Baton Rouge Ambassador
Dawn Love was born in Gonzales, LA and after living in Texas, Virginia, and Ohio, she moved back to make Louisiana her home for good. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. While she has spent the last 15 years of her career focused on achieving excellence with equity in schools, she is currently serving as the Executive Director of Organizational Development at the state department of education.
When Dawn is not discussing organizational strategy at the state, she enjoys trying new experiences. From traveling to new destinations to trying exotic foods and drinks, Dawn loves expanding her palate and adding to her passport.
Dawn is passionate about women empowering women; specifically, women of color having safe spaces to enjoy life and celebrate their existence. She joined Brown Skin Brunchin because this organization builds community among women in the most authentic way: enjoying a meal together!
