Founder Lillian Jackson grew up in Richmond and met her best friend in second grade at Blackwell Elementary. When a job took her across the country, starting over in a new city showed her how hard it is to make real friends as an adult.
So she made a place for it. Brown Skin Brunchin' started as one monthly brunch and grew into a community of thousands of women across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
